Gerald's House[]

(Arnold and Gerald are taking their bikes with them)

Gerald

So where you wanna go?

Arnold

Look for Thelonious Monk records or frisbee at Tina Park?

Gerald

Tina Park.

Timberly (heard off-screen) Hey, you guys, wait up!

Gerald

(groans annoyingly) Timberly...

Timberly

Where are you going?

Gerald

Nowhere.

Timberly

What are you doing then?

Gerald

Nothing.

Timberly

Can I come?

Gerald

No!

Timberly

Why not?

Gerald

Because... we're going somewhere to do something.

Timberly

But you just said you were going nowhere and doing nothing!

Gerald

Forget it, Timberly! You're not coming with us.

Timberly

(sobbing) You always say that! You never let me come along!

Arnold

Gerald, why don't we let her come along for once?

Gerald

Huh?

Arnold

We're just gonna frisbee.

Gerald

(looks back at Timberly and sighs) Okay, Arnold, if you say so. But remember, it was your crazy idea. (to Timberly) You can come, but you gotta keep up.

Timberly

(excited) Goody!

(The three start pedaling)

Tina Park[]

(Arnold, Gerald and Timberly each throw the frisbee at each other. Gerald catches it and throws it to Timberly, she grabs it and clumsily threw it up and it fell on the grass. Arnold grabs it from the ground, hands it to Timberly and teaches her how to throw a frisbee)

Gerald's House[]

(All three of them come back to the house as Timberly walks up to the front door and opens it)

Timberly

Thanks for letting me come with you, Arnold. I had so much fun.

Arnold

Sure.

Timberly

You're the nicest boy ever. (goes inside)

Gerald

(imitating) "Arnold, you're the nicest boy ever." See you tomorrow, Romeo.

(Arnold smiles and pedals away)

P.S. 118[]

(Timberly is waiting outside the hallway with a notepad in her hands because she is waiting for Arnold)

Timberly

Hi, Arnold.

Arnold

Timberly, what are you doing here?

Timberly

I drew this for you. (shows a picture of a sunflower with Arnold's name multiple times)

Sid

Look, it's a flower named Arnold.

(Rhonda, Stinky, Sid and Iggy all laugh)

Arnold

(holds the notepad and blushes) That's neat. Thanks, Timberly.

Gerald

What are you doing here? It's 8:15. Go back to first grade.

Timberly

Bye. (blows a kiss and leaves)

Rhonda

Looks like you've got a new girlfriend, Arnold.

Sid

Hubba-hubba! (laughs)

(Later, school is over)

Timberly

And then, for show and tell, I showed everyone my other picture I've been working on. It's of you. Do you want to see it?

Arnold

(unsure) Well... (blushes) no thanks. You can show me later.

Timberly

Can I hold your hand while we cross the street?

Arnold

(looks at his classmates and back to her while still blushing) Sure. (he does so along with her)

Rhonda

(giggles) Bye, you two! (to Iggy and Sid) Well, I for one think they make an adorable couple.

Sid

(agrees) Yeah... hubba-hubba. (they all laugh again)

Sunset Arms boarding house[]

(Arnold was coming out the front door with a baseball bat until he notices Timberly in a lemonade stand)

Timberly

Arnold lemonade! Get your Arnold lemonade right here!

Arnold

(surprised) Arnold lemonade?

Phil

(chuckles) Well, Arnold lemonade, huh? I'll buy some, young lady. Will you take a check?

Timberly

It's free. This whole lemonade stand is about Arnold. (offers Phil a cup) He's my boyfriend.

Arnold

(alarmed) Boyfriend?

Phil

You don't say... (drinks the lemonade)

Timberly

That's right, and I'm giving away Arnold poems to every customer today. (offers him a poem)

Phil

A poe-em? Hmm... (reads) "Arnold is so wonderful, he's a baseball play-er. Every night at bed, I say my I love Arnold pray-er." (chuckles and winks) Aw, that's very nice. You're quite talented, uh, er... What was your name, miss?

Timberly

Timberly. Is Arnold home?

Phil

(thinks) Eh, oh, I, uh... (Arnold waves "No" to Phil and closes the door) Oh, I- I don't expect him back from his, uh... (rubs his chin) Kickboxing lessons for several hours. (Timberly's smile changes to a frown)

(Arnold runs out of the kitchen, goes to the alley next to the garage and hides from Timberly)

Gerald

(arrives with a baseball bat and a glove hanging onto) I could go for some Arnold lemonade.

(Arnold shushes and grabs Gerald's arm to hide with him in the alley)

Gerald

(discusses with Arnold) She's sure got you jumpy, Romeo.

Arnold

What am I gonna do, Gerald?

Gerald

You're gonna tell her to stop it. It's dumb.

Arnold

I don't wanna hurt her feelings.

Gerald

Mmm, forget about her feelings. Just do it. All right, let's get to the game.

Arnold

Nah, I can't. She's a little kid, and I'd feel bad. Maybe I shouldn't go.

Gerald

(flabbergasted) What?! Not go to the game at Gerald-field against the fifth-graders?

Arnold

Yeah, she'd see me there and set up a lemonade stand or something.

Gerald

I don't care. Just go over there and break up with her.

Arnold

You're right, I'll just tell her.

Gerald

Good. (walks off)

(Arnold walks up to Timberly's lemonade stand and she sees him)

Timberly

Hi, Arnold! (pours lemonade into another cup) Want some lemonade before your big ball game?

Arnold

Uh, Timberly, I have to tell you something.

Timberly

(eagerly) What?

Arnold

You see... it's really nice of you to like me and make a lemonade stand about me, and I really appreciate it, but...

Timberly

But what?

Arnold

But the thing is, I... I really don't...

Lila

(heard behind him) Hello, Arnold.

(Arnold is startled by the voice as Lila comes to the lemonade stand)

Timberly

(to Lila) Want some Arnold lemonade? It's free and comes with an Arnold poem. (Arnold blushes)

Lila

I'm certain that I'd love some Arnold lemonade. (turns to Arnold) Arnold, who's your little friend?

Arnold

(shy and nervous) Uh, Timberly, Gerald's sister.

Timberly

(waves) Hi.

Lila

Hi, Timberly, I'm Lila. Oh, Arnold, she's simply the cutest little thing I've ever seen.

Timberly

Yup, I am cute. (points to self) I'm his girlfriend. Want me to ready you an Arnold poem?

Arnold

(interjects) That's okay, Timberly, you don't...

Lila

(clasps her hands together) I'm certain I'd love to hear one, Timberly.

Timberly

(grabs a poem) This one's called "He's Fine". (reads) "He's fine, that Arnold boy of mine. You never hear him whine. He's so fine, he's Arnold."

Lila

(touched) Gosh, Arnold, I think it's ever so sweet that you're nice enough to be friends with Gerald's little sister.

Arnold

(concerned) You do?

Lila

Uh-huh. Most boys our age aren't nearly so gallant. (clasps her hands together)

Arnold

"Gallant"?

Timberly

(moves out of the stand) We were about to go the vacant lot. Arnold's got a big game against the fifth-graders. You wanna come, too?

Lila

I'm sure that I'd love to... That is, if Arnold doesn't mind making it a threesome.

Arnold

(embarrassed) Uh... N-No. (blushes) It's okay. We can all go together.

Lila

Good.

(The three walk off to the vacant lot)

Timberly

(to Arnold) So what were you about to tell me, Arnold?

Arnold

(still too shy) Nothing.

The Vacant Lot[]

(Everyone is playing baseball now. Arnold's classmates, including Tiberly and Lila, are on the bleachers. Timberly whistles and she and Lila giggle)

Timberly and Lila

(look at Arnold and wave in unison) Hi!

(Arnold smugly smiles at them both. Wolfgang hits the ball with the bat while Arnold and Gerald are in catching positions until Gerald notices the ball in the air and it is coming down)

Gerald

Hey, Arnold, heads... up!

(The ball beans Arnold in the head as he couldn't take his eyes off the girls and falls down while all the kids grumble in disappointment. Gerald does not seem happy about this, and now the fifth-graders have won the game and fourth-graders leave the field, much to their chagrin)

Rhonda

We might have won if Arnold had been paying attention the game instead of his personal cheering section.

Sid

Yeah, two girls. I mean, who does he think he is, Rudolph Valentino?

Lila

(concerned) Are you quite certain you're all right, Arnold?

Arnold

I'm fine.

Lila

I'm ever so sorry that you lost.

Arnold

Yeah, I really didn't play my best game.

Gerald

(walks up to them) I'll say you didn't. What game were you watching, man?

Arnold

(as the two girls help him back up on his feet) Oh, hi, Gerald.

Lila

(looks at a watch on her wrist) Gosh, look at the time. I'd better be going, Arnold. Why don't you and Timberly meet me tomorrow and we'll go to the museum.

(As Lila was offering, we now see Timberly clinging to Arnold's arm)

Gerald

(surprised) The museum?

Arnold

(agrees on Lila's offer) Okay.

Timberly

Come on, Lila, walk me home. (they hold hands together as they walk off) I'll tell you more stories about how wonderful Arnold is.

Lila

I'm oh too certain I'd enjoy that, Timberly.

(At that moment, Arnold is looking lovestruck)

Gerald

(talks to Arnold) I told you to get rid of Timberly. What happened?

Arnold

Well, I was about to tell her, and then Lila came walking up and she really liked Timberly, and said it was cool that I was hanging out with your little sister and...

Gerald

Arnold, are you thinking what I think you're thinking?

Arnold

I don't know. What do you think I'm thinking?

Gerald

That hanging out with my little sister's gonna suddenly make Lila like you like you.

Arnold

(thinking it through) The thought did cross my mind.

Gerald

Arnold, how many times does she have to tell you? She doesn't like you like you. She just likes you.

Arnold

But...

(Gerald turns around and leaves, letting Arnold thinking with his head hanging down)

Museum of Fine Art and Dinoland[]

(In the Museum of Fine Art, Arnold and Lila look at the painting while Timberly goes around in circles with a pinwheel in her hand and shows it to Arnold. Next at Dinoland, Arnold and the girls get on a roller coaster ride that reaches the top and drops at a 90 degree angle, onto a vertical loop and the ride is over. Timberly gets off first while singing, then Arnold helps Lila out of the ride when he face has turned green and queasy, and finally, Lila turns around and vomits in the ride. Arnold walks up to her and puts his hand on her shoulder and she vomits again)

The Hillwood City Zoological Garden[]

(Arnold and Timberly are at the giraffe exhibit)

Timberly

(talking to Arnold about the giraffes) And my friend Tisha? She thinks Wally's dumb but I told her "Forget it, Wally's cool" and she said I was stupid for liking him, and I said "Tough, we're not friends anymore" and she said fine, and it really hurts my feelings. Did that ever happen to you, Arnold?

(While Timberly is still talking, Arnold is watching the giraffes putting their heads next to each other, looks at Lila drinking from a water fountain, lowers his upper eyelids as if he still loves Lila, and looks back at the giraffes as they wrap their necks around each other. Arnold fantasizes the giraffes' heads that turn into Arnold's and Lila's heads)

Timberly

(gets his attention) Arnold? Did that ever happen to you, Arnold?

Arnold

(Snapping back to reality) Did... did what happen?

Timberly

Did anyone ever really hurt your feelings?

(Come to think of it, Arnold turns his head back and forth and ponders the question. Something troubles him)
