Snee-Oosh, Inc. was a business entity founded by Craig Bartlett in 1986 which is principally known for having animated (Actual Animation done Overseas) and produced the Hey Arnold! series and film. They also made Party Wagon in 2004, as well as the educational shows Dinosaur Train and Ready Jet Go!.
The company's logo, a totem pole, can be seen at the end of every Hey Arnold! episode. On Nickelodeon split-screen credits airings, the logo includes a jingle composed by Jim Lang, where a vocalization of the company's name is heard followed by the sound of a gong.
Snee-Oosh, which comes from the language of a First Nation tribe in the Pacific Northwest, was probably named for an area by that name near the town of La Conner, in Washington State. Skagit Island is located in this area, which was likely the inspiration for the fictional Elk Island in Hey Arnold!. The Pig War took place on Elk/Skagit Island in the show, though in real-life, the Pig War took place on the nearby San Juan Islands.
