Skookumchuck River often referenced to as the River is one of the two major water bodies (along with the City Lake) of Hillwood City, its name was mentioned by Gerald when he told the Legend of Wheezin' Ed. The river is large enough to be navigable for sea ships. Prior to the Pig War it served as the natural boundary between the US territories and the British possessions. Elk Island is located in the middle of the river.
