- (to Arnold while everyone else watches) This guy is the worst.
(Helga and Rhonda turn to Arnold and cross their arms in disappointment)

- You know, you really blew it, Arnold. You ruined our school dance.
Arnold
- (being literal) It's not over till it's over.
Helga
- (looks away) Oh, it's over, Arnold.
Stinky
- Yeah, the old fat guy sang, and he was just plain rotten.
Mr. Simmons
- (on the stage and talks through the microphone) Once again, Dino Spumoni. (walks off the stage)
(Arnold claps slowly)
Dino
- (walks up to the stage and grabs the microphone) Uh, ladies and gentleman... uh, I mean, boys and girls, I know you all came out here tonight to have a good time. And up till now, I-I guess you've been having a lousy time listening to me feeling sorry for myself talking about good times I used to figure were all over. Well, a good friend of mine reminded me this school dance isn't about me having a lousy time. It's about youse having a good time. Considering all that, I wanna sing an old song you probably never heard before. Way back when I wasn't too much older than you, me and my pals used to like it pretty good. I thought maybe you might like it, too. (gestures to his partner) Hit it, Tony.
(The band plays and upbeat tempo)
Dino

Helga
- (starts enjoying it and smiles) Hey, he's not half-bad. (bops her head)
Dino
- ♪Hey, listen up, you punks — I'm makin' a point♪
Rhonda
- (starts enjoying it and dances next to Arnold) He's fantastic! You really did it, Arnold. What a brilliant idea. It's like you knew that he was so out that he's actually in.
Dino
- ♪Oh, I know, life can be cruel♪ ♪One day she makes you a king, and the next, you're a fool♪
