• The song Principal Wartz sings, "I Will Prevail", is a parody of the song "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor.
• Some people seen in the audience during the karaoke scenes are Nate Horowitz, Tish and Jack Wittenberg, Reba and Kyo Heyerdahl, Nick Vermicelli and Red.
  • Tish and Jack, therefore, do not appear at PS 118 as a result. They don't even have their gym whistles around their necks.
• During the riot, some of the things that can be seen are a monkey dressed up like Sid and the Monitor Lizard from "Helga's Parrot".
• Wartz's line "You won't have Wartz to kick around anymore" is a parody of U.S. President Richard M. Nixon's resignation speech.
• The P.S. 118 school spirit song is a parody of Cornell University's alma mater - Far Above Cayuga's Waters
• The reprise version of "I Will Prevail" plays at the end of the episode, with the credits shown over it. Due to this, the credits are in a slightly different order.
  • Similar to "Roller Coaster", "Oskar Can't Read?" and "Big Sis", which also had the credits played over animation, there exists another version of the episode with the credits played normally after the reprise.
