==Trivia==

*Despite Oskar's apparent illiteracy in this episode, he has been able to read (although not very well) in some other episodes, such as "[[Casa Paradiso]]", in which he reads a lengthy sheet of apologies to Grandpa to prevent him from selling the boarding house.

*Oskar hums while he eats.

*Ernie hands Oskar Leo Tolstoy's novel “War and Peace” to prove that Oskar only memorized "A Tale of Two Cities" so that he could win the bet placed by Ernie and Mr. Hyunh.

*In the original version of this episode, the credits roll over the boarding house while Oskar keeps reading ''Pet the Kitty'' out loud.

*Oskar saying "Pet the kitty" has recently become a famous internet meme.

===Continuity===

*Arnold says Oskar is a paper boy, referencing "[[Oskar Gets a Job]]".
