Classroom 206[]

Miss Slovak

Class, I'd like to make an announcement. I just got a letter from a former pupil of mine. The best student I've ever had; (writes on the chalkboard and the name is...) Olga Pataki.

(Helga is surprised to hear that name and scowls)

Miss Slovak

Olga Pataki was, and will probably always be the hardest working, most successful and giving alumnus of P.S. 118. (Helga sighs and places her hand on her cheek in boredom) I know we're all happy to have a direct, blood relative of Olga's in our class; Helga Pataki. Olga writes that she's coming home for Spring Break and perhaps if we all ask nicely, Helga will ask her sister to visit us and tell us about her exciting life she's been leading at Wellington College. (to Helga, which got her attention) Oh, will you, Helga? Will you?

Helga

(acts casual) Oh, yes, Miss Slovak. I'll get right on that. (gets her chin on her crossed arms and growls in annoyance and jealousy)

Patakis' trophy room[]

(Helga is sitting on the chair in annoyance)

Miriam

(while brushing the ribbons) Oh, Helga, your big sister should be here any minute. Isn't this exciting?

Helga's room[]

(Helga is now wearing Olga's outfit that is very big for Olga's size and it is a strapless dinner gown)

Helga

(acts like she is being praised and talked to by people) Why, Price LeBlanc, it's you. What's that you say? Since you met me at the fraternity mixer, you simply can't get me out of your mind? (places her hand over her ear) What? (giggles) Take me out for mocha lattes? (pretends to take a sip) Oh, Price!

Miriam

(off-screen, in a slow voice) Helga... (knocks on thee door) Did you change, uh, Olga's bedding yet?

(Helga groans in frustration)

Helga

(in a casual and pleading tone) Yes, Mom.

Miriam

Okay.

(Helga giggles while she fans herself with her hand)

Helga's dream[]

(In a fantasy sequence, Helga is in a place based off of the Salvador Dali painting The Persistence of Memory. She wanders around looking at the melting clocks and watches as they all are ticking)

Helga

(confused) Where am I? What is this place?

(We now hear faint crying)

Helga

How come all those clocks are melted? (she hears crying) Olga, is that you? (it is Olga's crying voice) Mmm, man, I got to get out of here. (continues walking)

(As she continues to walk, Arnold appears as a cherub with a red loincloth and his blue hat is floating)

Helga

(astonished) Arnold, is that you?

(He flies down to her)

Cherub Arnold

I am the Angel of Reason.

Helga

Hmm. Wonders never cease. How do I get outta here?

Cherub Arnold

You know what you have to do: You must do the right thing.

Helga

But what is the right thing?

Cherub Arnold

(being literal) You know. Do the right thing. (flies off) I now I have to go.

Helga

Wait! I have one more question! What's it like to fly?

Cherub Arnold

(looks back at her) Eh, it's okay. (flies into the sky)
