In Arnold's fantasy sequence, he and Lila share a strand of cheese and mistakenly kiss. This is a reference to the famous scene in Disney's Lady and the Tramp.
Lila likes turtles and is also allergic to stuffed animals. Additionally, Mexico is her favorite country.
Arnold asks Lila to ride on the Tilt-a-Whirl, but the sign above the ride says "Built-to-Hurl".
The "Built-To-Hurl" had two speeds: "slow and easy" and "fast and furious".
Lila throws up during and after riding the "Built-to-Hurl".
One of the booth operators looks like Caesar (the ride operator), but with hair and a beard.
Attractions Helga tried to sabotage: 1. Bumper Cars 2. Milk Bottle Toss 3. Built-to-Hurl 4. Tunnel of Love
This episode is more or less a sequel to "Operation Ruthless" and was originally titled "Operation Lila-less" because of the similarities with"Operation Ruthless":
In the episode "Egg Story", Harold teases Rhonda saying that she likes him. When she asks where he would possibly get that idea, he begins to say something about the Cheese Festival, to which she covers his mouth with her hand and tells him that she wants the events of that night never to be spoken of again. However, it is unclear if Rhonda was referring to the night of "Operation Ruthless" or the night of "Love and Cheese".
Due to Helga getting Arnold and Lila's day screwed up for her own amusement and the episode being a rehash of "Operation Ruthless", this episode gives out a bad moral stating the fact it is okay to sabotage a date your friend is on.
