Juli Murphy-Hashiguchi was an animation director of Hey Arnold! during Season 1.
After transferring from film school, she continued her education at San Francisco State University, where she majored in film and minored in art. Murphy-Hashiguchi graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in animation.[1]
Prior to her career in animation, she worked for Federal Express during a six year period. Beginning her career in the early 1990s, Murphy-Hashiguchi assistant animated the original Rugrats theme song, used from 1991 to 2000. She served as supervising director on The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy,[1] timing director on The Simpsons and an animation timer for American Dad!.
Murphy-Hashiguchi has been nominated for four Emmy Awards, twice for her work on SpongeBob SquarePants as a sheet timer, and once each for sheet timing on The Powerpuff Girls as well as directing on Chowder.[2]
