The Hydro Flame 4000 was a remote control ship used by Rex Smythe-Higgins to try to beat Arnold and Gerald in the Tour de Pond boat race in "Tour de Pond".
Plot[]
The Hydro Flame 4000 first appears when Rex, and his assistant Minion brought to the Tour de Pond boat race. Arnold, Gerald and Grandpa Phil were surprised to see the boat Rex had. Rex then teases Arnold and Gerald about their boat, the S.S. Gibraltar beating his. When the race starts, after the Gibraltar and all the other boats start moving, Rex activates his boat's turbo booster. The Hydro Flame then spins around in a circle creating a whirlpool trapping all the other boats in it. But Arnold manages to steer the Gibraltar and get it out of the whirlpool and head towards the finish line. Rex though then steers the Hydro Flame towards the finish line and accidentally hits the Gibraltar, causing them both to cross the finish line. This caused both Arnold and Rex to be in the final, much to Rex's disgust.
Before the final, Rex's Grandfather sabotages the Gibraltar's remote control so the Gibraltar can't go (Rex though wasn't satisfied with what his Grandfather did which he called tradition). When the final starts, Arnold couldn't get the Gibraltar to go and it's remote control sparks because it was sabotaged. This caused Rex to get the Hydro Flame to move ahead of the Gibraltar, but after Rex sat down for shrimp, a gust of wind caused the Gibraltar to move and catch up to the Hydro Flame. Rex at first didn't notice because he was distracted by eating shrimp, but when he does notice he quickly snatches his boat's remote control out of Minion's hand and tries to still get the Hydro Flame to beat the Gibraltar. The Hydro Flame however won't respond because the after burner was tapped. Rex ordered Minion to untap the after burner, but Minion warns Rex the turbines could blow, but Rex ordered Minion to do it anyway. Because of this, the Hydro Flame slowed down and the Gibraltar was able to pass by and cross the finish line and win. The Hydro Flame then suddenly explodes because of the turbines blowing like Minion said, and the blown up boat then sinks (the Gibraltar sank too because it hit the other side of the lake hard and broken cause it was going too fast).
However, while Grandpa and Rex's Grandfather fight and fall into the lake, Arnold and Rex shake hands as they congratulate each other for the racing they did.
