  • At lunch, Arnold and Gerald have lunchboxes, and Phoebe is eating sushi with chopsticks.
  • Big Bob never starts a clearance sale without his lucky belt.
  • When Helga is playing baseball with her friends, she tells her nanny "Don’t bother me now Edelweiss". This is a reference to the Broadway musical and 1965 movie The Sound of Music, in which Edelweiss is one of the musical's songs. It’s a reference to the musical since at the end of the episode, Helga receives a postcard from her nanny that reads "it is wonderful to be back in the Alps" and The Sound of Music ends with the Von Trapps fleeing over the Alps.
  • On 10-18-2016, The Splat broadcast this episode with the Klasky-Csupo logo instead of the Snee-Oosh logo.
  • When Inga holds up Miriam’s repaired antique tablecloth, there are angels on it that look like Helga.
  • Stinky tells Helga "You look like the girl on the box of hot chocolate" referring to Droste Cocoa.
  • Morals:
    • Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
    • While it is important to control someone's attitude, don't try and be a control freak.
    • The more you push people away, the less likely that people would come and help you.
    • Though you may get away with your actions, you still have to live with the consequences.
