The comic begins during recess as Helga demands Harold to beat up Arnold, threatening to tell the other children if he refuses. Harold approaches Arnold and theatrens to fight him, but Arnold explains that he cannot be beaten as he is a "crazy person". Harold demands Arnold to prove this, and Arnold, bringing out a boombox and donning a top hat, proceeds to sing "Hello! Ma Baby" (Howard & Emerson, 1899), best known for its appearance in the Chuck Jones cartoon One Froggy Evening. Everyone on the playground is baffled as Arnold gives his performance. When the song is over, Harold asks Arnold to join his club, and Helga scoffs as the other children praise Arnold.
This comic was expanded as the pilot episode of the animated series, which was later remade into "24 Hours to Live". In the animated verisions of the comic, Arnold sings an original song for his performance.
