Carl is a fictional character in the Hey Arnold! TV Series.
He’s the husband of Cheryl and the father of Cindy, Candy and Chuckie. In the episode "Fighting Families", he and his family compete against Arnold, his grandparents , Ernie and Mr. Hyunh on the popular game show for first place.
As the show goes on, Carl becomes increasingly unhinged and demanding, revealing his true nature of being an abusive competitive control freak.
